Life is good & crazy busy.

Lots has happened since the last time i've written. One big thing is we have a new team leader. His name is Coleman, and he's a super cool dude. He plays guitar too, so i have a music buddy! Our original team leader, Lauren had to leave the program. It was sad to see her go, but Coleman fits right in to our team. It's been a weird adjustment, however.
I feel as though everything we've been through as a team has made us get way closer and way stronger. I'm proud of us all, keeping positive attitudes and still doing our work well.
Work the past two weeks has been fun. Last
week, Daquan and I gutted a house. Our job was basically destroy two rooms and clean it all up. We were giving a hammer and told to go. It was such dirty work and we had to be fully suited up. I got absolutely filthy by the end of the day. It was fun and we had a good time!
And this was downtown New Orleans when the Saints won their first Super Bowl!!!! absolutely crazy. You could hardly move. Who Dat!
The Saints parade was the next day... it took us literally 3 hours to get home when it usually only takes us 15 minutes.
Mardi Gras is coming up and we have off until Wednesday. Prepare for the insanity.

This looks like such a great house. You have utilities now? Isn't it fun gutting old houses. It seems like I have done that to every home I have lived in from 6th grade on. We are proud of your team for keeping your eye on the goal of service, and hanging in there. I hope things are more smooth these next months. Fat Tuesday is a big milestone for us too--that was the first day we opened our clinic for our practice and Amy brought those disgusting donut things to work. Great memories.
